The Five Nations Motorcycle Challenge involves riding through all the countries in the British Isles and the Republic of Ireland in five days and meeting these five objectives.
The Objective
1. Ride a minimum of 100 miles in each nation
2. Travel to the West Coast of Ireland
3. Travel to the South coast of Wales
4. Ride part of the NW200 course
5. Ride no more than 20 motorway miles in total
There are no prizes. The only reward is the satisfaction of having done it, and the good time you will have doing it. Although there are stickers available. Email the editor to get yours
I’m told there is an Irish expression … “If you want to get to Dublin, I wouldn’t start from here” … so, our solution to the Five Nations Motorcycle Challenge may not work for you
Hopefully, the routes will give you a few ideas and a base to work from. A detailed explanation of our solution and why we picked these routes can be found here
When importing GPX files, your GPS or Phone navigation app will recalulate the route based on your navigation preferences. We add waypoints to hopefully minimise any differences, but it is always worth double-checking.

All of the motorcycle touring routes are provided “as is” without guarantee, liability or any assurances. The lawyers said we had to include that sentence. All we can tell you is that we had an excellent time planning and riding them.
