Roads To Ride - A collection of videos for motorcyclists

Roads To Ride

Sometimes describing Roads To Ride with just words doesn’t do them justice. The video collection started as a way of recording the fun we had while working, and it grew into a way of sharing the joy of engaging roads to ride. You can download (FREE) routes for them – with the odd exception – from the Routes page. Watch. Download. Enjoy. What could possibly go wrong?

All of the videos play on YouTube

Roads To Ride - B1164 Lincolnshire
🎞️

It may only be 8 miles long, but back in the seventies, the B1164 was the Great North Road – The A1 of its day. Then they built a dual carriageway to bypass Tuxford and left us with a wide curving motorcycling road.

There is a GPX file for this short section of road available in the Free Motorcycle Routes section. If you are heading north or south on the A1, it is well worth the short diversion.

Cadwell Park is a circuit where rider skill will often beat horsepower. The motorcycle featured in the video is a 19-year-old Honda CB500 twin, bought as a winter rebuild project. The CB500 is completely standard except for a slip-on exhaust. Power is estimated at around 45BHP. Even the tyres are 15+ years old.

However, when ridden by the Chief Instructor from Jewell Motorcycle Training … power isn’t always the requirement.
