Hopefully, you are reading this before April 12th, 2024, in the UK or April 30th, 2024, in Canada and the USA. Before those dates, there are some money-saving Dunlop tyre deals to be had.
For the Brits, buy a pair of Dunlop RoadSmart IV tyres, and Dunlop will give you the front tyre free. Alternatively, if you are on the other side of the Atlantic, there is a $50-$60 rebate on a pair of tyres.
Both deals require that you purchase your tyres (or tires) in person from one of Dunlop’s Pro Dealers, which you can find here for the UK or here for Canada and the USA.
Dunlop Tyre Deal Rules
For the Brits, the deal has to include having them fitted. If – like me – you were thinking of buying three pairs and squireling them away, that isn’t how the deal works.
For Canadians and Americans, the rules are that you have to buy the tires in person from a Dunlop Pro Dealer. If you are buying road (street) tires: Purchase one tire and get a $20 rebate. Purchase two tires and get a $40 rebate. Purchase two tires and have them fitted and get a $60 rebate.
For Off-Road Tires, Purchase one tire and get up to a $25 rebate. Purchase two tires and get up to a $50 rebate.
Check the small print for off-road tyre sizes that are included in the deal.
Happiness
Personally, I think we – for which read “me” – got the better end of the deal.
Although the Canadian/US deal does cover more tyres, I ride on the road, and I get to spend the summer on a pair of the impressive Dunlop RoadSmart IVs for a mere £250, which was the cost from HMT in Lincolnshire. Ride-in and ride-out service as well. Sweet.
Roger, on the other hand, is miffed because RoadSmarts don’t come in Africa Twin sizes, and Carle was looking for off-road tyres to use on his CRF300L when exploring green lanes.
If you are reading this after the deals have expired and are wondering when tyres became so expensive … I feel your pain.
